Sage Cafe’s Debut: A Night of Flavor and Talent

Sage Cafe had its opening night event on Sept. 11, featuring open mic performances by students and free food made from local ingredients. Students lounged and mingled from open to close. Members of the Sage Cafe Crew have been working hard to make an open and vibrant space for the community, and Sage Cafe will now be open as a community space every Tuesday through Friday, 6-11 pm. “You all make this place what it is," Ella Rabbino, crew supervisor, said.

“This is really exciting, the space has been dead for so long and it's the first time to get everyone in here and together. I’m very happy," Jade Edwards, Sage Cafe Crew member, said.

“We really wanted to make a communal space on campus where everyone feels safe and supported… We wanted to do so by providing people sustainable food that means something to them in a space where they can exercise their passions," Gita Carmona, Sage Cafe Crew member, said.
