On March 23, 2024, Warren Wilson College (WWC) hosted its annual Accepted Students Day – a day for accepted prospective students to join in on campus life for a day. The prospective students and their families amounted to over 200 guests on campus, and current WWC students were quick to get involved, from supporting their crews at the crew fair to harnessing up for crate stacking.
WWC’s punk scene attracted Apollo to WWC.
After Benji revealed a bag they made from recycled trash bags, they expressed their passion for the intersection of art and conservation science.
With a current school size of 25, Dechen is eager to explore WWC’s clubs and work crews.
Eliana is excited about the opportunity to try new things.
Grove is excited to immerse themself in WWC’s music culture.
Joyce is excited about WWC’s environment – they are considering pursuing Appalachian studies. They are also excited to explore Asheville’s food scene.
Moss is looking forward to exploring their artistic expression at WWC.
Sippi’s current projects include building and monitoring monarch waste stations, so they are excited to further explore their passion for sustainable agriculture and expect to spend a lot of their time down at WWC’s farm.

Alex is a writer, editor and occasional photographer studying Sociology and Communications. She hopes to go to law school once she completes her undergrad. In her free time, you can find them thrifting, cooking, carrying a yoga mat or standing in line for a concert. Voting rights, activism, empowering voices and sharing community are passions of theirs, and she hopes to emanate that in her writing.
