Warren Wilson College (WWC) held it’s annual Lettuce Eating Competition on April 27. Students and staff competed in consuming heads of lettuce as onlookers gave money to the WWC Fund.

Typically, this contest is held on All-In for WWC Giving Day, a day for people to give donations to the college to benefit various programs and scholarships. This year, Giving Day is on May 5 this year.

The Lettuce Eating Competition raised over $450 and was matched by donors for a total of $900. Competitor Tim Kinsey ate more than 22oz of lettuce, ranking him as the champion.
