Warren Wilson’s Winning Women’s Lacrosse Team

The Warren Wilson College (WWC) women’s lacrosse team has had an extremely strong season, with a particularly triumphant 17-5 win against longtime rival Brevard College on April 1, 2026. This feud, referred to as the “Ridge Rivalry”, is bolstered by the tradition of a WWC Blacksmith Crew-crafted trophy being awarded to the winner of the annual Brevard-WWC game. Since the trophy’s creation, 2026 marks the first year of WWC lacrosse team successfully winning it back from Brevard.
