Something to Hoot About: Holiday Edition

Nijah Colston & Becca Boynton | December 15, 2021

CW: discussions of murder, incest, familial disputes, and suicide

In their podcast, “Something to Hoot About,” first-year students Nijah Colston and Rebecca Boynton talk about important but undiscussed topics within the Warren Wilson College (WWC) community. Colston and Boynton will have crucial conversations about hot topics and events happening on campus. They will also bring guests to their podcast, interviewing the guests about the community and how Warren Wilson can be a more inclusive and safe environment. Topics covered in the podcast include racism, sexism and much more that Colston and Boynton feel are under-explored within Warren Wilson. Each episode will be about an hour long, released regularly to help bring awareness to issues on campus.

In this episode, Colston and Boynton read through the tale of the Lawson family murders, taking place on Christmas day in 1929.
