”In college, my world of art has expanded to new depths like fibers, animation, bookforms, and printmaking. As a multidisciplinary artist, much of my art is not just one of those categories but a concoction of them, I am often inspired by Viction Musirclions, valentines, and Renaissance motifs mixed with darker imagery and a sense of macabre.
As an expressive art therapy minor, I have been taught why art is so important in the therapeutic process. Art gives people a voice, It can allow people an outlet to express themselves in a way they never thought imaginable. That is why I made this body of work, I am giving myself a voice. I am honoring my experiences of the past. I am expressing my truth.”

”I grew up in the Jefferson National Forest in Southwest Virginia, exploring old copper mines and hearing spooky tales from the mountains. I always felt the spirits there, they brought me a strange sort of comfort: to feel connected to something not quite known.
This feeling of being dissociated from a place, and my identity, along with the strange companionship of spirits has fueled me to create.
My work explores taboo and metaphysical topics through lush imagery of natural scenery, fruits, bones, and blood. I have an appreciation for preserving moments in time, objects and tools worn from use, and stories, that speak to the inextricable connection between a people and the love and beliefs that hold them together.
