“How Do We Mark The Flood?”: A Community Gathering

Ada Lambert | December 11, 2024

On Nov. 23, 2024, Warren Wilson College (WWC) Art and Craft Department collaborated with the Center For Working Lands and Swannatopia’s Experimental Art Club for the community art event “How Do We Mark The Flood?” The event featured multimedia art installations, created by local artists and WWC community members, that honor the lost lives and communal grief left in the wake of Hurricane Helene. The event ran five hours long, beginning at the WWC garden and gradually moving to other locations around campus throughout the five-hour-long event.
