“It's all starting to happen” Vera Pandolfo, a sophomore on herb crew, said.
“Right now we are focused on all plants that are starting to come up, like violets, dandelions, burdock and yellow dock… violets and nettles for the teas, some for salves like the chickweed.” Pandolfo said.
“There's so much to learn… It’s nice to have a relationship with the plant, to be processing it and being hands on.” Pandolfo said.
“The winter is lots of crop planning, ordering seeds, making our layouts of the coming year, what we're gonna grow, and planning workshops,” Rosemary Thurber, senior and crew lead of herb crew, said. “We're always excited to work with people and share access to herbal knowledge even if people aren't on the crew.”
“It's an amazing way to connect more with the plants and really understand the work that your doing to make yourself a cup of tea and witness the impact of herbs in your own health” Thurber said.
