Bumper Stickers of WWC: Volume 8

This week's Car of the Week goes to Ellie Teweles; from the Talking Heads to Eraserhead to using anti-fascism to get ahead, Teweles has got their head in the bumper sticker game.
Teweles’ car has been passed from generation to generation. They got it from their cousin in Manhattan who got it from her mom (Teweles’ aunt) who bought it as a used car.
“The car is as old as me,” Teweles said. “It’s a 2004 baby.”
Their car has picked up a few other names alongside “Ellie’s car.” These include “the smEllie car,” “Stink,” “Old Reliable” and “Piñata”; although Piñata has stuck the best on the car.
If the visuals were not enough to tell, Teweles is an avid fan of the Talking Heads and a big film buff. In regard to their “Eraserhead Baby On Board” sticker, Teweles said that while baby on board stickers can be important to alert emergency personnel if there is an accident, they wanted to make a light jab at the superiority that those cars get while referencing a film they enjoyed.
“The Eraserhead baby holds a special place in my heart,” Teweles said.
While Piñata has gotten a lot of love, it also has its fair share of issues. Before receiving the car, Teweles was informed by their cousin that it had “been in a couple of accidents.”
“It seems like there's a common denominator with my cousin possibly crashing into people,” Teweles said.
From a duct-taped trunk, three holes on its right side or a dying battery that needs to be revved up every 4 days, Teweles puts in the work to keep Piñata from bursting open.
