Students Take a Stand at Big Gay Earth Day Parade 2026

Warren Wilson College (WWC) students gathered at lunchtime on their college campus in Swannanoa, N.C. for the annual Big Gay Earth Day parade. Crews like Garden, Community Engagement and Forestry participated in the event, sporting handmade costumes and signs. Students also vocally protested the college administration’s treatment of the unofficial Autoshop Crew, whose members are currently on strike to protest their working conditions.
