The Echo Newspaper Brings Home Awards from Conference

The Echo Newspaper submits stories, photographs and illustrations annually to the North Carolina College Media Association (NCCMA.) On Feb. 22, staff members attended the conference in Boone, NC, bringing home six awards. These awards include: First Place (Cartoon) by Lili Jones, Second Place (Cartoon) by Sal Ward, Honorable Mention (Cartoon) by Eliot Ward, Honorable Mention (Photography) by Lindsey Botkin, Honorable Mention (Opinion Writing) by Lindsay Botkin, and Third Place (Digital Storytelling) by The Echo Staff.
