“It’s just a place to take a little break in the middle of the day and have some community through music,” Phil Jamison said.
“It makes me so happy,” Alana Young said with Mac Ware. “I can just come here to relax.”
Phil Jamison led the jam with his fiddle. He helped start this tradition over 20 years ago.
“It’s really fun when you have a large group because you can kinda mess up and it gets covered up by everyone else,” Ben Hofert said.

“It’s a really fun way to get better while getting to know other people and appreciating the music and culture around here,” Ben Hofert said with Hyacinth Cox.

“I love the community aspect of it,” Sophie Moeckel said, taking out a fiddle. “People that don’t know each other can just sit down and know the same music and play.”
“I have a lot to learn,” Cristina Reitz-Krueger said, playing the banjo for the first time in this jam. “But it was really fun.”
